Design-Your-Own Fairy Wand
A ribbon-and-gem craft that turns a plain wooden wand into a sparkly fairy-tale prop — a nice change of pace from the crown-decorating table if you're running two activities. The ribbon-tying technique is a genuine contrast to sticker-decorating, so guests get two truly different things to do.

- Scissors — if trimming ribbon lengths for younger kids
How to do it
- Hand each child a wooden wand blank and let them choose ribbon colors.
- Show them how to tie or wrap a few ribbon streamers around the top of the wand.
- Let kids press gem stickers onto the wand's flat surfaces to finish the design.
- Kids can wave their finished wands right away — great for photos with the castle backdrop.
